Why are soft drinks bad for health?


Every day we read the harmful effects of soft drinks in the newspaper and books. Even after reading all these children, young men and women drinks diet soda, soft drinks and  soda. When I go to the hotels I have seen many people prefer soft drinks with food. The recent study says diet and sodas increases obesity problems, kidney damage and certain types of cancers. Soft drinks increases there blood pressure.


The recent research says 48% increase in heart attacks and strokes among daily soda and soft drink drinkers compared to who did not drink diet sodas and soft drinks daily.

Prostate cancer is very common in men in the age group of 45 and 73.  The daily Mail reported on Tuesday that the fizzy drinks are not only harmful to their teeth but it increases the risk of prostate cancer. One soft drink a day increases the risk of cancer up to 40%.

Drinking tea can cut ovarian cancer risk


Ovarian cancer affects many women all over the world. A two year research was conducted by the health officers with around 1000 women with an average age of 60 years,

50% of the 1000 women were diagnosed with ovarian cancer while the other 50% were free of the disease.

The researchers found that those who were free of cancer were more likely to be tea drinkers from a very early age than those diagnosed with cancer, The Daily Express reported.

There is a powerful compound called, "FLAVONOIDS” which is a strong disease fighting property is present in the black tea.  This is proved in by a study at the School of Public health, Curtin University in Perth, Australia. So tea consumption should be encouraged.

Everyone can take some small preventive measures against the cold virus infections.
